A man that shoots a family because he is orderd to does deserve to be forgiven. He is in the military he has to obey his superiors. It is his duty to serve his country. If he disobeys his orders it would have been treason and the sentenmce for that is jail. when you are in the military you have to do as you are told,no questions. No matter if your beleifs and morals get in the way. the person that gave him the comand should not be forgiven.

philanthropy
Is philanthropy a moral obligation? Many say yes while many say no as well. I guess it is how you have your morals that helps you decide the answer to this question in the article "what should a billionaire give" you discuss the worth of a human life. that even though we may b vastly different due to race ..we are all created equally.
With christmas just around the corner many americans make out checks to their favorite charities. My morals make me think that it is indeed a moral obligation to practice philantropy. i mean if u have enough to spare why not givee it to soneone with out.
In the arcticle founder of microsoft, invents a foundation for the less fortunate. he came to realize that many children in developing countries die of dieases that have been eliminated in the U.S.
this shows that even the most wealthy people can be humble enough to help out the unforunate. Even though people may give money they may only do so for a publisty stunt...to improve their image. This is wrong but atleast they give something.
in conclusion yes i think that Philanthropy is a moral obligation...we were all taught at an early age to give so why wouldnt we stick to what we were taught as a kid when we get older and more "mature"

skate boarding ain't a crime
| Skateboarding Not A Crime by Justin Abell |
|
|
NO SKATEBOARDING. These signs are posted throughout most cities, but
does one ever a see a NO FOOTBALL sign or a NO BASEBALL sign? No. The reason
behind this is that these are sports excepted by the general public. People say
that perhaps a skateboard could go flying off into a crowd and injure a
bystander, but couldn’t the same thing happen with a baseball or football? Yes,
and that’s why skateboarding should be looked upon as a sport just like any
other sport.
Skateboarding can cause damage to property. Street curbs are sometimes
waxed for grinding and over time that curb will appear tarnished and worn. But
don’t all sports come with the possibility of property being damaged. For
example, a baseball through a window or a football denting the door of a car. If
an individual is caught skateboarding, their board is confiscated and a $60 fine
is issued. If people are throwing a ball back and forth or a child is playing a
game of frisbee with his father they are not reprimanded. The reason for this is
that people, who are ignorant to the sport, feel that these activities add to
the goodness of the community while skateboarding diminishes its value.
Peoples’ first opinions of skateboarders is not positive. People see a
gang of kids wearing baggy clothes and immediately the word “hoodlum” pops into
their heads. These individuals refuse to focus on the skill involved in the
sport. There are many different tricks involved in skateboarding that take years
and years of practice, and having no place to practice and constantly looking
out for the police makes it even harder to master these hard tricks. Football
consists of a bunch of big guys trying to hurt each other, and this is
glorified. If a child picks up football he is viewed as an athlete, but why is
it that when a child picks up a skateboard he is seen as a criminal?
The world today is basically unable to provide for the needs of
teenagers. A prime example of this would be a local park that offers a baseball
field and open grassy areas for activities such as football, but if one looks
around that park it won’t be long before their eyes rest on a NO SKATEBOARDING
sign. Teenagers are generally looked upon as bad. Skateboarding should be looked
upon as a blessing because it gives teens something to do. A group of teens
could be out getting drunk or getting high, but no, they decide to skate - and
yet they are still doing something illegal.
The main thing that needs to happen is that skateboarding needs to be
recognized as involving skill and practice just like any other sport. During the
past few years skateboarding has been getting some positive feedback. Television
programs on channels such as MTV and ESPN are embracing it as a sport. This
recognition is great, but people still need to open their eyes and look past the
opinion of the general public.
SKATE BOARDING IS NOT CRIMINAL
Like the above article states skateboarding is considered a crime by many. The only reason for this the people that think it is a crime...have never skated. Or ever given it a chance because they stereo type skaters as bad kids, deliqunets. "NO SKATEBOARDING. These signs are posted throughout most cities, but does one ever a see a NO FOOTBALL sign or a NO BASEBALL sign? No" This statement from the article above is true, others sports aren't thought of as crimes. So why is skateboarding. is wrong with it. kids have the opertunity to progress in this sport just as much as any other sport,so whats the point in stopping us from doing what we like if it will benefit us. i heard some were that if you want to fully understand why you stand for what you do, that you must first understand your apponents view point. I do get my opossers veiw, they dont want their kids gettin hurt. if they think that way then why dont they just make their childeren live at home for their whole lives? Why let them do other school sports? it is absurd the way some people think. If someone is caught skateboarding thier board is taken and they are issued a $60 fine. but families playing frisbee are not repremanded. the reasin is that the general public is ignorant to the fact that skate boarding actually adds value to a neighborhood. Most people see a gang of kids in baggy clothes and think "hoodlum". But they dont stop to think about the amount of skill involed in the sport. Many tricks take years of practice to master...but if you have to watch out for police and you dont have any where to skate then it takes longer to master. If you look around a park you will see that therer is space provided for baseball, football, and so on. but you will also see a NO SKATEBOARDING sign.this outcast sport is a benifit...instead off getting drunk or high, kids decide to skate.skate boarding is not a crime...it is a sport.
so in conclusion i think that skateboarding should be allowed every where because it helps many people stay on the staight and narrow.

narcissitic
I infer that by this picture, Narcissus is really in love with himself. I mean he ignored a half-nude Echot so he could gaze lovingly at him self. But maybe he just did not see her. Cause she was supposed to be withered away. "he cannot move for so he marvels at himself and lies with countanence uchanged (paragraph 407)

you're gonna go far
you're gonna go far kid BY The Offspring
1.Show me how to lie, you’re getting better all the timeAnd turning all against the one is an art that’s hard to teachAnother clever word sets off an unsuspecting herdAnd as you step back in the line a mob jumps to their feetNow dance, f@#$^r, dance, man, he never had a chanceAnd no one even knew, it was really only you
And now you steal awayTake him out todayNice work you didYou’re gonna go far, kid
With a thousand lies and a good disguise Hit ‘em right between the eyes, hit ‘em right between the eyesWhen you walk away, nothing more to saySee the lightning in your eyes, see ‘em running for their lives
Slowly outta line and drifting closer in your sightsSo play it out I’m wide awake, it’s a scene about meThere’s something in your way and now someone is gonna pay And if you can’t get what you want, well, it’s all because of me
4.Now dance,f@#$^r, dance, man, I never had a chance And no one even knew, it was really only you
And now you’ll lead the wayS how the light of day Nice work you didYou’re gonna go far, kid Trust, deceived With a thousand lies and a good disguise Hit ‘em right between the eyes, hit ‘em right between the eyes When you walk away, nothing more to say See the lightning in your eyes, see ‘em running for their lives
Now dance, fucker, dance, he never had a chance And no one even knew, it was really only you So dance, f@#$^r, dance, I never had a chanceIt was really only you
6.With a thousand lies and a good disguise Hit ‘em right between the eyes, hit ‘em right between the eyes When you walk away, nothing more to saySee the lightning in your eyes, see ‘em running for their lives
Clever alibis, Lord of the Flies Hit ‘em right between the eyes, hit ‘em right between the eyes When you walk away, nothing more to say See the lightning in your eyes, see ‘em running for their lives
You're Gonna Go Far by K.C. Cooper
Now a days when we hear a song we don't really think bout the lyrics if the beat is good we just sing along...the song you're gonna go far kid by the offspring has actual meaning.

Now a days when we hear a song we don't really think bout the lyrics if the beat is good we just sing along...the song you're gonna go far kid by the offspring has actual meaning.
this song may have many meanings but when I made a self to text connection and it meant only one thing to me, the world is a tough place to live.
In the first paragragh it talks of teaching someone to lie, the way i understood i say that to make it in the world you have to be able to lie and when you dont need to lie anymore others react causing chaos.
In paragraph four I underlined "now dance f@#$^r dance....." i percived this as someone bendin and moving so that they can please others to gain their trustjust to screw them over for personal gain.
Then again in paragraph six the underlined phrase the words "with a thousand lies and a good disguise...." for me this means that if you plan on being any thing in life these days you have to lie and decive.
In conclusion peoples grip on what is right and wrong is so messed up... lies have been the key to sucess for so long that they don't see how wrong it is . Basically we are all hipacrates in some way or another.
